Are you tired, like me, of the “always confident and in-charge” façade and unrealistic expectations that often come with being a business owner and holding that powerful title of “Founder” or “CEO”?
Have you also, like me, experienced numerous occasions during your leadership journey, when you were scared to death about that mighty hurdle confronting your business; yet no one had a clue about your negative emotion?
I’ve gone through countless moments as business owner, when I didn’t know beans about what to do, although everyone was looking up to me for the next move!
Why shouldn’t we have real and true conversations about such incidents among ourselves as business owners? Surely, we could share how we navigated through some of these quirks to empower one other, can’t we?
What’s wrong with laughing once in a while, at some of the business experiences we go through, to relieve that extreme tension that sometimes comes with doing what we do?
We’ve all made serious business mistakes and oversights before, haven’t we? Surely, learning from these can make us better entrepreneurs with stronger businesses.
What mindsets, perceptions and motivations enable us build our unique businesses and stay resolute through the tough times, even when we feel like quitting?
Yet these are all unspoken truths business owners never share!!! Wouldn’t it be a huge relief knowing that you are not the only “queer” one going through these or thinking in ways others simply don’t seem to understand?
For the next few months, I’m going to be having authentic conversations with you about my unspoken truths as a business owner. I’m just going to be me; open, vulnerable and assertive. I’ll be sharing with you my deep fears, insecurities, knowledge gaps, as well as my unique leadership style, perceptions, personal growth and learnt wisdom about the intricacies of starting and growing an innovative business in Ghana. Then I’ll have the pleasure of reading your thoughts, insights and experiences too.
I’m really looking forward to this! So, brace yourself to go on this journey with me and let’s share these deep and insightful conversations every month, right here.
Coming up next week: Was this a Brilliant Business Move or an Impulsive take off?!!!
