AVOID THESE 9 “NEGATTITUDES” FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS IN GHANA

Be deliberate about avoiding these negative attitudes (“negattitudes!”) in order to build a successful business and foster positive relationships in Ghana.

  1. Mistrust: Assuming that all local partners, consultants or staff will cheat you or act fraudulently!
  1. Unrealistic Expectations: Minimize over-familiarity with the culture; often leading to the erroneous assumption that business will thrive easily as a result.
  1. Impatience: Expecting quick returns on investment and rapid results without understanding the local business environment and pace.
  1. Overreliance on Connections: Sole reliance on family or friends rather than building professional networks may cost you several disappointments and frustrations.
